We’re so excited to be celebrating our wedding with all of you – and even more thrilled to do it in a place that holds such special meaning for us.

Henham Barns felt like the perfect venue from the moment we saw it: beautiful, relaxed and full of character, set in the heart of the Suffolk countryside and home to Latitude Festival. But its more than just a beautiful location – it’s a part of our story.

Ella’s mum was born and raised in a small market gardening village close by, and for the past 22 years, her family have been lucky enough to have a holiday home in Walberswick, just 10 minutes down the road. The family have been making memories here for over 30 years with Ella taking her first steps on the beach, spending hours crabbing, playing in the waves and building sand castles with her sisters. In more recent years we’ve changed buckets and spades for bikes and beers – and with James, Ewan and Jonah as back up for Bob, The Anchor and The Bell became our new playground!

Just a short walk or ferry ride from Walberswick is Southwold – a traditional family seaside town full of character with its iconic beach huts, historic pier and lighthouse. A pint in the Lord Nelson and fish and chips from Sole Bay are family favourites not to be missed! For us, it’s a place with so many memories so please come and make some of your own.

The Hurst and the Nurse families, along with many of our friends have made countless memories here in Suffolk – from beach days and bike rides to summer dancing at Latitude Festival. Choosing Henham Barns felt like coming full circle – a place that captures everything we love: nature, joy, family and fun. We can’t wait to share it with you!
